Story room storage clean-up
(Cool! Thanks, Miss A., for showing me how to look up room schedules on E*vents.)
***It is my understanding that the story room will not be used between Jason's preschool visit on Thursday morning 12/14 and some event on 12/28. THEREFORE... during my Thursday 12/14 afternoon shift (1-5 pm, usually a slow time), I hope to sequester myself in the story room and pull EVERYTHING off the shelves in the storage room out onto tables, etc., and ruthlessly inventory and organize what we have. I confess to a personal hope that a good inventory of what we actually HAVE and can use up for crafts, etc., might not only save us a nickel but help us in planning future programs. (It's dopey to scramble to make Ellison cut-outs, for instance, if there's something else already in our cupboard that would save us time AND money AND make for a unique, fun project, right?)
HOLLER, PLEASE, IF YOU KNOW ANYTHING DIFFERENT ABOUT USING THAT SPACE FOR A FEW DAYS/WEEKS!! I promise to have everything stored back away by 12/17, but it would be good for all of us to be aware that little people wandering into the story room could find more trouble than usual to get into... I'll make sure my knitting ladies don't steal anything; our last day is 12/18.

Yeah, really- it's a relief to have someone here who wants to do that sort of thing :)
Think of it as selfish: since X. and I are often the people called upon to set hands upon whatever is needed (usually, needed five minutes earlier!), it can only make our lives easier to have this in some reasonable kind of order. And once it's IN some kind of order, my hope is it may be easier to KEEP it that way. (Though this was also my theory of housekeeping at home, and I have yet to see it pay off. ;-)
