crayon boxes & renegade posters
DuSean (who doesn't know his own strength) was very kindly straightening up chairs and such in the Children's Room tonight, and was popping the lid back onto one of the crayon boxes...which collapsed to bits under his hands, poor guy. I told him not to worry--that we're replacing them soon anyway--and advised him NOT to go into chiropractic!! ;-)
P.S. I'm really beginning to take it personally that the posters keep falling down. Even the ones I have replaced with my own hands keep coming unstuck repeatedly. Feel free, any time you feel like playing with Fun Tak, to try your luck! :-P They're accumulating in a pile on top of the red emergency box. (God forbid we should actually have an emergency, and the sweeper not be able to find the box for being obscured by a pile of renegade posters!!!)

I had my crew wash each wall before putting up the new posters. I also actually bought some new (white) Fun Tak, and I'm afraid it's somehow just not as effective as the old stuff. Go figure. :-P

I hate Fun Tak. It should be called Dum Tak. I've always been an advocate of tape, but supposedly it messes up the paint. :(
They are somewhat pricey, but Scotch makes wonderful sticky poster mounting squares that really work and do not ruin the finish on the walls or shelves. Actually, I just searched Staples.com and they have new products too...like removable mounting tape. Maybe we could say goodbye to FunTak.
Well, I also bought some of those mounting squares, but didn't want to try them out without the boss's approval. What actually did happen was that a lot of the new white stuff got thoroughly blended with the softer blue stuff--and the blend seems to work marvelously; it's just the plain white stuff that keeps coming down. So: my bad. I'll put blue stuff on the posters that await re-hanging (though maybe I'll wait til my son's home to let him do the ladder-based stuff...)
