Ummmm...

While getting out posters for my incoming volunteers to hang, I found that one of the styrofoam-board "packets" I had put together to protect the enclosed posters had basically been spilled and then haphazardly smooshed back onto the shelf in such a way as to damage some of the posters. Please chat with me if you have questions about this funky storage system--they're supposed to make our lives easier, not more troublesome. The volunteers hung piles of posters all over the place in RECORD time, and I think they look pretty good--but the "leftovers" in the story room are kind of a mess. Since I don't see anything on the calendar in that space til Dec. 4 (HOLLER IF YOU KNOW DIFFERENT!!!), I'm going to take my time putting everything away again, and be sure to do it carefully.

Also--stashed away behind the Maisy house box, I found the easel we use for posters announcing upcoming events--also busted. When did this happen?? Can we repair it, or are we getting a new one?

So far today, I've built a whole HOUSE (for Maisy) and put it over where the armchair used to be. Hope your young days have been as productive!

I'm also tossing out old storytime nametags and putting out the December Take & Make starting today, because a) we're out of the turkey placecards and b) Thanksgiving is over! (Penny, final count on turkey placecards: 548. Thanks again for making this happen!!)
