Hello, all--I apologize for any confusion I've created: since Penny can't join us and it was going to be a tough call for AF, since Connelly probably still doesn't know what continent he's on, and X. was unsure of her plans, I think we'll just have to reschedule our festivities to an evening other than tonight. Apologies all around. (Jason, don't think for a moment that this gets you off the hook from sharing detailed stories of your trip!! We especially want to hear about Israeli emergency rooms...)

Blogger has not permitted me to post for several days, but I wanted to fill everybody in on plans for summer Take & Makes.

Until June 19, we're offering the paper fans. We have plenty on hand to make it through.

June 19 - 24 craft is a paper bag pooch puppet; copying has been done and only assembly (paperclipping instructions to paper bags) is left to be done.

June 26 - July 1 is a more elaborate "star-spangled crown"; I've left a shortcut to a read-only version of my list of "Volunteer Crafts" (Word doc) out on the desktop--feel free to check this for tasks that need to be accomplished for this one, which I expect to be pretty popular, not only because it's early in the season but because it's amazingly simple and colorful. (EVERYONE will want to have one for July 4!)

July 3 - 8 is paper plate masks.
July 10 - 15 is Goofy Sea Creatures.
July 17 - 22 is paper plate clocks
July 24 - 29 is "Wacky" paper frames (leftovers from cutting out last December's window cards)

Mock-ups of all of these are assembling on top of the shelf unit in my cubicle. Xandi is contracting volunteer help for the summer, but I want to be sure that no one is ever unsure of how to deploy the help that we have: feel free to check that Volunteer Task list!! (AF, I presume it's ok to ask Andrea to assist with these as well, if she has time?)

PLEASE holler if you have questions: you're probably thinking of something I've overlooked, and I'd rather know sooner than later. ;-)
