posters, safety, craft news and Margaret MacDonald

Just another heads-up: I am slogging through posters in the story room, this week. The room is a total mess, and should be off-limits to everybody who's not "official." Wish me luck! (Ugh.)

Found a large open bag of erasers stashed under the gazebo, this morning. Aside from the fact that there is already a small container of erasers to use as prizes in the bottom drawer of the file cabinet (stacked in another bin containing tatoos)...these babies can be a serious choking hazard, and since toddlers do occasionally wander back of the gazebo without parental supervision, the sight of that inviting bag puts my heart in my throat.

MUY, MUY IMPORTANTE: I've commandeered a cart for summer Take & Makes. The cart is stashed next to the wall by my mailbox in our cubicle. I'm starting to feel a titch PANICKY about getting all the dog puppets assembled for next week, so feel free to have volunteers make this a priority: just clip the instructions to a paper bag and pile in the box. (I've got totals on everything we're making, so don't bother to count...When the instruction sheets are used up, you're done.)

And for the record: I got to watch AF tell a class of third graders the story of "Fat Cat," last Thursday, AND Margaret and I listened to Margaret MacDonald's version on our trip down to Baltimore, over the weekend. Adrienne's version is, hands-down, the better one. (Sorry to disagree with you so publicly, Boss!)

The erasers was me- I couldn't find where the prizes were being kept and just grabbed them from the back. Not being a parent, I don't think about babies crawling around places where they don't belong.
