Volunteer from Aquinas
I received a call from a mother who has a 15-year-old who needs 5 hours for community service by sometime in June. Anybody need her? If not, that's fine- but I thought before I told her "no" I'd make sure no one else needed her...

Yep: we can always find some dirty books, too! Often, the people who can stay for a 5-hour stint (if that's what he has in mind) often really get into it and do the best job. By all means, don't say no!
I agree with Adrienne about the blocks- and even if it were going to be done on a periodic basis, I would think that no more often than once a year would be entirely sufficient.
Regarding the volunteer, if someone has a task for him/her, please contact me and say "Jason! I will be responsible for contacting, scheduling, and supervising the volunteer!" And I will be happy to pass along the contact info. :)
