stuff

VERY IMPORTANT NOTICE from Patti Ligozio in the yellow gazebo notebook; don't fail to take a gander...

BUTTERFLIES: The gazebo is (IMHO) beginning to look a little "hairy"--and Jason may soon be prevented from going behind the desk if any more strings are hung from the sides, so I vote that we start sticking these babies up with Fun-Tak. Interest seems to be slowing (a little), so this activity may also peter out soon. (Xandi, if we have any volunteers come in, they might help make some more of these babies?)

Yah. BUT, the butterflies are such a nice conversation-starter, both with kids on their own, and between kids and their parents. Maybe it's because I'm still so new, but in many ways this activity seems to have created the most "buzz" around books since I've been here. And as long as we don't add more strings, I'm willing to climb on chairs and ladders to distribute these babies all over the top of the gazebo... When does the summer reading decoration start?
