As Frog and Toad depart...

What should follow F&T on the bulletin board near the story room? "A,B,C...1,2,3" was recently suggested, unless there are other/better opinions. Ditto the parents' shelf board, which should be changed when the three apples award competition is over on March 31.

I'm also hoping to take down the gazebo mittens and change them for butterflies. (Xandi, could you have a volunteer cut many different colors of butterflies from card stock or bright-colored construction paper, please? No black or dark colors, s'il vous plait; no rush, either: take and make's are a higher priority in my book.)

First blog book note: I put holds on Linda Sue Park's What Does Bunny See?--a real snooze of a poem about a bunny seeing different-colored flowers--and also on Fancy Nancy, a must-read by Jane O'Connor, PERFECTLY illustrated by Robin Preiss Glasser, about a little girl who gives her game family lessons in being fancy. I'll put these in my cubicle for you to check out at your leisure...

Also check out Megan McDonald's new (to us) Beetle McGrady Eats Bugs!, which I'll merely display at the gazebo, so you'll have to beat some young patron to it...
